Mediation is a way of facilitating the resolution of a legal dispute. As a mediator, I assist both parties in negotiating their own terms for the settlement. Mediation is an effective alternative because mutual parties voluntarily choose to put forth the effort to find an acceptable resolution rather than battling in court. Every matter is discussed in strict confidentiality with no public record and each participant must sign a confidentiality agreement at the start of the first session.
As a professional mediator, I am trained to handle conflict and create open communication between participants while keeping the process moving forward. Mediators do not give legal advice but instead guide you through the topics of the dispute and suggest alternatives in an effort to reach resolution.
